The pale light shone across the sky. Far in the horizon, such beauty to the eye. The sunset setting on all upon the day.

Dark gray clouds overwhelmed me, taking over my heart. Darker and darker they grew, I feared that they would never part.
The sky looked gray and stormy before it started to rain. A cool breeze blew by, threatening to remain. I shivered in the coolness, my soul empty and low.
He had to hide who he felt he was from all around. Inside, only black darkness could be found. He did all that he could to see the light.
She sat so close that her stare bleed deep into his eyes. She wanted more and it was then he began to realize. He had a home, a family, a life.

I’m just faking it now. Just trying to get through somehow. For what you did to my heart. All the ways you tore it apart.
A piece of paper she found in his desk. A wish for this, a hope for that. A single tear ran down her face. For she knew he couldn’t finish the race.
