My Own Hero
My own hero My own shining knight I'll come riding in In the darkness of night Don't let go Don't fall to your knees Push the wolves away Oh honey please My own hero With a mask and a cape Deep down inside me I'll help me escape Don't cave in Hold on in your heart Draw back your arrows You'll hit the mark My own hero From purely within Because I don't need you to tell me That I needed saving Will you come running? To fight by my side? It's okay if you don't Because I have enough pride To be my own hero.
