Life leaves us with marks.
Physical wounds,
Emotional despair,
Some restorable,
Some leaving scars.
.
Drastic changes
Steering us far
Into devastation.
Moderate faults
Seeming trivial
And harmless,
Go underestimated.
.
A single misfortune could
Take us down.
When a small incident
Obsesses the mind,
Worry overpowers all.
Stress and uneasiness
May wreck any aspirations.
.
Ripping a band-aid off
Seems almost painless.
However, Reintroducing
Emotional trauma
Is never that simple.
The mind reliving each
Heartbreaking moment
With little space to breathe,
And no chance to escape.
.
In time, the pain will heal.
While scars remain,
Reminding us, locking us
To some anguished memory.
Life continues, teaching us
Falling is a part of growth.
.
Life requires patience.
Bandages shed off,
People will rise again,
All in time.
