At the Edge

A Poem About Life

Standing at the edge too afraid to look down

Wondering how I got here my memories hidden by the clouds.

Why didn’t somebody stop me, did anybody care.

My journey to this point must have shown some despair.

I know I can make this go away soldier on another day.

But this is where I end up, as if there isn’t another way.

In time we will all end up at this point, it is something we have to face.

It’s the journey that counts and what we do, don’t leave an empty space.

this time I am ready to fight, push back and carry on.

I will show them all right now this battle is all but won.

but I know there will be a next time, to stand upon the edge

That’s a bridge I will have to cross, right now my heart I pledge.
