Ashes to Ashes

Ripples in the Water—Virginia Evershed

Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust

We all must die, yes we must

Sometimes we go very early

Right in our ground breaking years

Leaving a family to miss and mourn us

To remember while drying their tears.

Sometimes sickness overtakes us

No medical miracle is found

And we watch as we slowly drift upward

To our new found hallowed ground.

Sometimes someone else speeds our going

Only he has this kill on his soul

For he'll live with his deed forever

Till he ends up in his own deep dark hole.

So savour each moment together

Make every memory one that will last

Give thanks to the lord almighty

For the good times now held in the past.

This poem has been made by a wonderful woman whom I was very close with. She published a beautiful poem book before she passed away. It allows us to have a bit of her still with us.
