As Love May

First Poem

You were my first, My first love, My first lust, My first sight, My first thought.

You will be my last, My last love, My last lust, My last sight, My last thought.

I love you more than, Any Annabel Lee and Edger Allen, Any rose and it's garden, More then the sun loves the sky, More then birds love to fly.

You are my sky, You're the wind to help me fly, You're the air that I breathe, You're the only one I'll ever need.

I want to spend my life with you, To support you in whatever you do, I'll build a shield of love to protect you.

You make my heart swell, You make my love dwell, You make me smile wide, And my weakness hide.

For you, I'd do anything, I'd slay a million dragons, And as many black knights, I'd form all your shadows, And destroy your frights.

I'll warm you when you're cold, I'll hold you when you're scared, I'll love you when we're old, I'd never leave you. Wouldn't dare.

I'll sing you to sleep, And kiss the pain away, I'll wipe the tears you weep, And let it come as love may.

I'd carry you through the darkness, And bury all your hate, I'd cut away your sadness, And believe you are my fate.
