As I Love Her

What Used to Be

My dear, Patricia, this I know:

While others' love comes and goes,

With the tide that overflows,

I will not be pulled by moon beam;

And will stand firm, ready to see.

How ever far our love will carry

Our destinies together.

And though be long the word, forever,

I will stand strong and never waver.

Will try my best to never tire

Because I cannot live without her.

As time changes I wonder where

We'll be here or we'll be there.

From sunsets to sunrises

And all of life's little surprises;

For all time within my heart

You will remain the greatest part.
