Armistice Day

The Poppies

Every year this time comes around

The 11th hour the clock strikes a sound

Ding dong you will hear

As people shed a tear

As you see soldiers walk through the street

People hang their heads looking at their feet

One minute is all we give

For the ones who didn’t live

We wear a poppy on our chest

As the others lay to ready

Over 60 million people died

So that we can live with pride

I’m very sorry for the ones who suffer

But it could make the rest of us even tougher

11.11.17 this is the most important date
