Are You Sure?

Or are you just being paranoid?

Are you sure you put your keys there

And not in the other place?

Maybe they're in the other room,

Or have fallen behind the bookcase.

Are you sure you locked the front door?

Anyone could walk in.

Snoop around and take whatever.

It would be your fault for being dim.

Are you sure you turned the oven off?

You wouldn't want the house to catch alight.

Engulfed in flames,

Orange and red against the black of night.

Are you sure they really like you

And aren't talking behind your back?

It's probably your fault. Usually is.

That's why they're talking smack.

Are you sure you're happy with yourself?

And it's not all fake.

Go on then, give us a real smile.

Pretend your heart doesn't ache.

Are you sure?

Are you really sure?

Certain?

Definite?
