Angel
For You to Feel as You Feel Right
Soft steps fall the living angel
Sailing to her cloud.
No lives can touch a youthful look
No curse uttered aloud.
So silently she walks across the barrier
So calmly her sails apply.
The innocence of an angel fair
Should young not have to die.
The glowing hand cannot know
As she slowly turns to in
That waiting for her are not her wings
But a harsh darkening.
Green can cause as much pain as black
Causing red to hit the ground.
Grey clings to those who knew her best
As her gold glows all around.
Noise can escape us; smells fade away
But light will always remain
As even in the darkest hours
The angel will feel no pain.
Though sad and limp she may lie
An angel she remains within.
For now gone she’s found her wings
And to heaven she is flying.
