Angel

You're never going to be an angel.

You're never going to be an angel

Your wings are black and stained

You’re never going to be an angel

You have fell and felt the flames

You’re never going to be an angel

You’ve been so long from grace

you can't remember that place

You're never going to be an angel

You’ve felt too much humbling pain

The darkness in you that you fight, is the only thing that can free your flight

The fear of night you have long held, is the breath that in you once swelled

To flee this place with onward sight, you must learn to fight

And fight you will - forever wage - for you have always felt the flames

Your wings are black - your wings are stained - for the fire is where you found your place

An angel's name - an angel's face but long since have you fell from grace

The one with black wings and eyes of flame - in your heart the fire's rage

You are a whirl wind - a world on fire

Never doubt your path's desire
