Wish you were here and they were not.

She lay in the sunlight with the heart full of pain.

Nobody knows that she lay there alone and in tears.

Nobody hears her when she laughs and has a joke to tell.

The sunlight warms her face as she lay there alone and in pain.

The amazing lady that lay in the sunlight had shown me so much.

From becoming a woman and falling in love.

I heard the sadness the day before, but I did not know that she had plans.

The sunlight hits where she lay, and I could not help her not this time not now.

Her children left her broken hearted and put down, her husband frowned and ignored her.

Her parents begged and told her to stay, but she had to go and be proud one more time before she left the warmth of the sunlight that hit her face.

One last laugh, one last cry, one last story will ever be heard from this amazing lady, but did she have to leave this sunlight that hit her face? And why now?

I feel hate, I am angry, I am confused and so furious. They had to put her down and make her cry and now look, she's all alone in the sunlight that hits where she lies.

That day she took her life and had enough, it hit so hard and yet I knew why, she had enough of everyone and she wanted to stay but her children and husband could not let her live, so they made her hurt until she left without saying "Good Bye."

There she lay in the sunlight forever now and waiting, I miss this amazing lady that lay there alone in the sunlight and cold but I will see you again, and we will laugh once again. We will sip cheap booze under the dark moonlight, but then sleep, sleep in the sunlight once more, forever, my friend.

I miss you, Barb
