An Over-Sensitive Heart

A Poem

an over sensitive heart,

always keeping me apart,

through all the years of hurt,

struggle to find my worth,

for you, I would move mountains,

but myself, I cannot countenance,

for In you I accept every flaw,

but for this internal war,

it reminds me, I’m not perfect,

just want to hear you say, I am worth it,

always planning, 10 steps ahead,

stops me in, my tracks dead,

for I see, how you enjoy life,

while I struggle, with my strife,

cannot bring myself to sleep about,

I want a future without doubt,

so tell me that your certain,

and I will draw back my curtain,
