Amor

Disguised as a Word

I’ve said all,

Sent it your way,

You’ve done with it as you please.

My words are all I got,

And even that you’ve taken from me.

I have willingly given you, self,

What is left of my mind.

This story,

You and I,

It has got no end,

No start.

Love is all there is,

We’re infinite,

You and I,

As the ink that slowly marks,

Thousands of chapters past,

Millions of years,

Where we have lived,

In the air, the sky and the grass.

You are my present, because of my past.

All of those confessions,

A sinner’s gasp,

The old flames, which have turned to ash,

Memories of my religion,

The current melody to which I dance.

Lust shall be considered a god,

and we shall be the sacrifice.

Let’s enjoy ourselves to death tonight,

Because if not death,

Eternal damnation.

We are humans,

Who are we to say no

To the divine.
