A Poem by Logan Mang

A Trojan peace settlement

Ultra clean, disinfected, strange

Dystopian

Bleach filled

Piss soaked metropolis

Of the human creation

People so stupid

They think it smells like

A lemon twist

Nothing to go off on,

So I gotta write a bunch of messages so they can

Make a fist.

Connection

Creating

Communication,

Communication

Creating

Whispers,

Whispers

Creating

Rumors,

Rumors

Creating

Distrust.

A disgusting, plateau of enough

Almost as delicious as an

Ecstasy rush

Savage nation of no luck

Cold drink to survive

worth

Several bucks.

How is this happening?

Malpractice

I guess this isn’t my side of the law

But I had to write a poem to express my

Apathy

Distrust

Disgust

And you know that I must

Present an opinion

In a land created for freedom

But one that no one ever realizes

Is created for you and me

All of the oceans and their trees

A technological

Monstrous

Awesome

Disheartening

Land

For the free

And the brave

And the poor

And the hopeless

On a planet in the middle of the stars

Where love and hope seem so far
