How could you understand where I come from?

Even if you asked,

Even if I told,

You were never there.

You haven't seen what I've seen.

You haven't walked my path.

My past will define me,

This is who I am.

It was the same thing,

Over and over again.

It held me up

And forced me down.

This is my past,

My history.

It will define me,

But it doesn't need to make me.

You see what I do,

But you don't know why.

You say you understand,

Only for it to remain a lie.

I explode on the inside;

Sometimes, slowly.

Sometimes, all at once.

But always eventually.
