Ambushed Freedom

Poetry Feels

With your passionate soul, and your careless mind you run freely

still,

you are not freed from this — doomed world, filled with emotionless souls —

the empty pain that scatters all around to fill the room, even when it is uncalled for.

You bow your head and close your eyes, say a prayer one last time.

Words begin to pour out of your sweet mouth, as the tears drench from your eyes

the last words you will hear tonight.

You find yourself contemplating the stars, as the universe is indulging itself, the cause of this heavy-hearted end.

You hear a cherished laughter somewhere nearby

but now,

You won't even bother to look around

that's when you realize that the universe has finally swallowed even the most innocent heart — as you have become one of the egoistic parts.

You are a fragment of this trap.
