cor. conteram.

to feed the screaming mind, read even.

to ease the screaming mind, read odd.

part II.

1. never.

never let fear hold you back,

for the only thing fear sows is regret,

and regret reaps a life of unhappiness,

and unhappiness is never,

never,

something you want.

2. people say we can just be friends now.

sure.

i'll look at you and not see beauty.

i'll smile at you and not hurt anymore.

i'll laugh with you and not cry afterwards.

dang it.

stuff just can't go back to normal.

we can't just simply go back to being friends.

it's an impossibility threaded with regret and hate.

it's a veil of hurt and I can't see through it.

it's a person.

a person that I loved.

a person that used to give me butterflies.

a person that I now hate because of what they did to me.

things can't just go back to the way they were,

but I wish they could.

maybe then i'd be happy

i'd be happy with you for once.

i'd finally be happy.

3. life has its way of stopping time when you don't want it to,

and speeding it up when you want it to slow down.

why is it that time is always against us.

4. the rubble will be cleared.

the dust will settle.

you'll collect the broken pieces of your heart,

and when everything is crystal clear,

someone worthy of you will see your true beauty

and love you for who you are.

for now,

stay still and wait.

wait for the time to rebuild,

to collect the fragments,

and become whole again.

5. stars entangled in the vast expanse of darkness.

one bright light shines in a crescent shape.

the heavens plead for light while darkness consumes the world.

6. a heart is a rose.

its beauty is captivating.

its splendor is fascinating,

but every heart has its thorns

just as every rose has its secrets.

7. nothingness.

the skies are enveloped with astronomical beings

fluttering through the sky with wings like butterflies.

suddenly they all vanish from sight.

a big ball of fire rises above the horizon of change

capturing all the stars in her light and glory.

shimmering off the clouds like light off a diamond,

radiant rays of thick sunlight shine towards the heavens

until the darkness of space consumes them.

the water of the sea billows with white frothy waves of blue and green.

the flowers bloom and nature awakes sprightly with the light of heaven.

the ball reaches its peak and nature worships its light.

wholeness.

8. scars come from healing

healing comes from time.

stay still and wait.

wait for healing.

9. leaves are falling.

you can see.

the wind is calling,

urging me

to fall off the tree,

and soar through the sky.

i finally go free

to watch the world go by.

10. they say death is the worst thing

that can happen to you,

but what about loneliness.

it's worse than death.

it messes with your mind.

it pins you in a corner

that you can't get out of.

it traps you.

it puts you in the middle of the spotlight.

so everyone can see you,

and how filthy you actually are.

it's a disease.

it kills you from the inside out.

it knocks you down but,

you don't have anyone to pick you up,

and the worst part about it

is that you have to live with it.
