Alone

I tell jokes and get my friends to laugh, but I rarely see them.

I try making my lover happy, but she’s distant.

I try being involved with family, but they’re toxic.

So at the end of the day, it's only me and my thoughts.

I'm not depressed, but I'm not happy. I don’t know how I feel. And I don’t know why I try harder for people and not for myself.

Because no matter what I do,

I’ll always be on my own...
