I had a dream
we were in a magazine
and our lives
were a perfect picture
Flaws in this dream
were gone and missing
only beauty
in this dimension
People
were kind and happy
so why
does this seem wrong?
Here in the real world
Dreams are visceral
They reside
In your mind
Miracles
Are obsolete
And time hides itself
Until we are old and unable
To pursue
Dreams we once had.
But what if
Our what ifs
And dreams
Were reality?
Would we still wish
For a better tomorrow
Or
Does the greed for more
Still consume
Our dreams and reality?
