"Allowed Interruption"

A Poem

The destroyer manifested itself,

as we failed to create something better.

Some of us love though it pains us

and some of us hate just for pleasure.

They say it's in the water

but what if it's in the breeze?

Our nation's problems,

would be as innumerable as the trees.

A cosmic betrayal

as a plan gets off the ground in only one sense of the word.

Two ancient peoples return,

with one telling the most believable lie ever heard.

Try to count the hairs on your head

or the number of breaths you'll take in your life.

You can't count the stars in the night sky either,

so try to predict the change of the wind direction all you like.

See him eye to eye,

and let the two fires eclipse the lie.
