All That Is Left

Nothing Remains

My heart it is breaking piece by piece, soon nothing shall remain. The hours grow smaller as the terror within grows larger, is any hope left? Sanity is merely feigned as the thought lose control, is this still my own mind? Hope slowly withers and die, nothing can be saved. Faith in a brighter tomorrow disappears in air, as if it never were there. Health is failing as the coldness deep within grows. Thoughts unwanted claw their way into one's mind twisting it, Life is now on the line as the words slowly learn they alone cannot win. Actions cannot stop, cannot prevent, doomed to fail. The warmth once held loses to the ice of being left behind. All that is lost may never truly be regained try as one may. The tears fought so hard fall freely as if there were no resistance. Soon all that will be left is a shallow husk of what once was a beautiful love.
