All Cats Are Black in the Dark

Lyrical’s Poem

Another day

I walk home;

Alone in the dark

All of my worries transpire from under the shadows, and reveal themselves

My whole way home:

No a mile yet left behind

No, I will not look up from the pavement

I just might fall through the cracks

I do not know what lies behind me-

Following me home through the dark

One by one I watch as the streetlights go out;

I am not alone anymore

I pass an old friend I do not wish to talk to.

His name is Depression:

And he's following me home

I must have crossed paths with a black cat-

Oh my sweet child, all cats are black in the dark
