Age

A Poem of Growing Old

Age is not an evil thing to be detested and deplored.

Even though you can't do the things you easily did before.

Knowledge and experience, a wiser man you'll be.

Though your body weak and heavy eyes, other attributes you'll see.

Memories of yesteryear are at your beckon call.

Such good times come rushing back, enough to fill a hall.

As we near our fateful end, there is nothing for us to fear.

Our time will come, his will be done, let joy be in those tears.

Time moves on, the cap is don'd, take up the banners call.

It's time to wave the flag of piece as age catches us all.
