Afraid of Saying I Love You

Poem

I'm afraid to tell you I love you

It's like watching you skate in search of your words and looking at the ceiling and talking about weather for a distraction.

I'm afraid to tell you I love you and see my words hanging in the air between the three centimeters that separate your mouth from mine without ever seeing you look up.

I am afraid to tell you I love you and you will not repeat it to me by avoiding my glance with a voice that lacks the weight of your sincerity.

I'm afraid to tell you I love you and it sounds like alarm bells in your head that make you change your mind.

I'm afraid to tell you I love you and die a little every time I hear you in my sitcom Pref.

I'm afraid to tell you I love you and lose my courage with a dry neck and that it comes out all crooked.

I'm afraid to tell you I love you and it's true.
