When the pining gets to be too much.

I love you

I love you when it’s cold outside and you let me seek comfort in your jacket

I love you during the night when wolves howl and the moon shines

I love you in the early morning sunlight; curled up in white sheets

I love you drinking coffee; two sugars, skim milk

I love the tilt of your lips, the slice of your jaw, the depths of your eyes

I love the way you talk, the way you laugh, the way you smile

I love the darkness, the days you hate yourself, the weeks you go into hiding

I love your past, present, and future

I love the dips of your hips, the space between your ribs. The velvet of your skin

I love the hesitance before you talk; the way you think before you speak

I love the warmth of your body when it’s wrapped around me

I love the passion in your voice

I love your glass bones, your ebony skin

I love you when you think no one can

I love you when I don’t think I can

I love you when you stare too long at someone else

I love you when it breaks me, completely shatters me

I love you with every breath that leaves my lungs, every time my heart dares to beat

I love your cologne

I love the smell of your shampoo when I allow myself to inhale

I love your detergent that’s found its home on my clothes

I love your ripped jeans, your too tight shirts, your broken converses

I love your sense of humor, your witty and biting remarks

I love the small freckles that could replace the stars

I love the universe that seems to be hidden in your eyes

I love the way you make me feel

I love the adrenaline that rushes through my veins

I love the intoxication of your looks

I love the way my heart creates a rhythm that matches your name

I love the oxygen that your smile gives me

I love the intensity of your gaze

I love the way you can tilt my world on its axis

I love you

I love you

I love you
