i’m always gonna feel like you’ll choose someone else over me.

there is no cure. there is no medication or solution. there is no way to fix this broken person. and i am sorry.

i know you will try your hardest. i know you’ll give it your all. and i know once you realize you can’t fix me, you’ll leave. because they all do.

but you’re better than them. you treat me better than they ever did. you’re the one person in my life that has put that much effort into me. and i’m sad to say that it won’t be enough.

so, you’ll find someone else. you’ll find someone better. someone that deserves you and loves you and treats you like you should be treated. someone that understands you and wants you for who you are. because you’re amazing and you’re the best person i know.

and i’ll never be able to make you happy enough to stay.

because you’ll always deserve better. and everyone always leaves. you’re the one person that will actually deserve a much happier ending.

so, i’ll hang on as long as i can. but the first time i see your eyes stray, the first time i see your face light up around someone else, i will leave. because you deserve the best and i’ll only ever be a substitute.
