One way or the other, we have fought personal battles
Ones that only we know about, self rattle
During such phase, you either let it consume you
Or you fight it with every zeal
Some you have to fight alone
Others you fight when you are totally lonely
There are times when you wanna call it quits
But you can't 'cause it has a firm grip on you totally
It even becomes part of you, parasitically
Eating up your every time, every energy, everything
The struggle is real within every living being
Denial of it is non-existent
But to overcome it, you need total persistence
In this matrix of life and cubic of struggle
We search for strength through the telescope Hubble
All we hope to do is stop it
Especially if it is affecting our sanity
It is a rough road, like road to rediscovery
Life and its additives
Living and it's pathway to activities
We are all addicted to something
Something we wish to stop
Something we have been wishing we could've firm grip on.
Run away from it for a day or two
Next thing it is back to daily prescription
The teenage transition is a clue
But you might be lost into the sea with a clueless crew.
Everything is based on what you want
I believe, though I wouldn't lie
That we can overcome it all
You just need to really wanna stop it
And work towards it with all resistance
Because as the saying goes and I quote
If wishes were horses, the blind would play polo
The root of addiction is pain
Pain from a spirit that has been set ablaze.
How I overcame mine? With a pen for sure
When the addiction came, I decided to add diction.

I drain my thoughts through my pen. That's the only way I breathe.
