A Canvas Unmade

Let me perform for you

I am urgently displayed on a canvas unmade

Banned by bolts of sunlight

That know I speak with the night

Broken like the sidewalk that created your first scar...

I am not done with you yet.

I crave the bumps in your roads

Paving detours, haunted in delight

Fluorescent as ever

Back bending bridges over your route

I am your voice, your shadow of doubt

I am not done with you yet

Let me make love to you

Scratches down your spine

Everyone knows you're mine

Drink me in, divine

Our air shatters; Hold your breath

Oh, I am not done with you yet.
