Do you ever act so much that it becomes natural?

Do you ever fake something for so long that it feels right?

Acting gets hard and feelings get harder.

You start to ache while you help everyone else.

You start downing yourself, but yet everyone around you is happy.

Acting is something that can get you so far in life,

Until you become tired of it.

Tired of holding back your feelings.

Tired of pretending like everything is alright,

When in reality you’re breaking down inside.

You fake a smile every day,

You laugh with friends like everything is okay.

When you get home it’s a different story,

You can’t stop thinking,

Can’t stop worrying.

So stop all of the acting now.

Ask your friends for advice like they do you.

Stop doing things that please others if they aren’t returning the favor.

Make yourself known for who you really are instead of who you aren’t.

It’s time to stop the clock and let out your true self for everyone to see.
