A Poem

I want so many things that are forbidden to me.

I want to love you, I want to show you what it's like to be free.

Come with me, let me see.

Take this here and this night will truly be.

Place it on your tongue.

Don't worry. It's okay, we're young.

Let it dissolve. Relax, breathe, fall.

A world of black and white is now in color.

A dark, cold world is bright and loud.

The nights' demons have been found, torn to bits,

so we shall never wear a frown.

I promise to you that I'll always be around.

Go on, feel yourself wearing the crown.

Let it go, no one knows.

You are powerful, this is freedom.

Place this on your tongue,

and before we're done,

we'll feel like we have completely won.
