Letting Go

Holding on to a love that will never be given in return will hurt you more than finally letting go.

You are mine to love and to hold,

just as the moon holds the stars.

Every one reads the story of my love for you.

It doesn't matter how far they are.

You are mine to forgive, to cherish and to embrace,

just as the birds do as winter becomes spring.

As they soar throughout the sun lit skies,

my love for you they will forever sing.

You are mine to quarrel and hate,

just like the thunder storm above.

Yet, no matter how hard I try to deny it,

I find myself in love.

I find myself in love with you.

But if it is your wish to be free and fly away,

it surely makes me blue.

But to ensure that you are as happy as I,

letting you fly is what I'll do.I

So now I let you soar the skies

to find someone to hold,

to forgive, to cherish, to embrace, to quarrel,

but most importantly someone who will love you as much as I.
