A Wounded Soul

A Girl Trying to Free Herself From the Pain

She’s done everything she could to get him off her mind.

She knew she’d love him until the end of time.

She kisses his picture, it’s time to say goodbye

Dialing his number, she begins to cry…

Human hands cannot heal a wounded soul.

A heart split in two is no longer whole

A broken spirit has no will to live

A person with greed has no will to give

He sat there on the other line listening to her fall

He never did anything to break down her wall

Tears came down but it was to late to save her

He heard a dial tone her voice was no more…

Human hands cannot heal a wounded soul.

A heart split in two is no longer whole

A broken spirit has no will to live

A person with greed has no will to give

He ran to her house hoping it’s not to late

Tears falling from his face

He's seen the phone still attached to her hand

He realized what he had done and tried to be a better man

Sitting at her grave stone a few years later

He laid down a rose that wouldn’t last forever

It was his promise to her that nothing stays the same

And that he really has changed…

Human hands cannot heal a wounded soul.

A heart split in two is no longer whole

A broken spirit has no will to live

A person with greed has no will to give
