A Woman Longing to be Played With
An honest poem coming from a woman's perspective.
I'm a woman and
I'm longing to be played with
I'm not afraid to say it
I'm longing to be played with
but not in the way you may assume
I’m longing to be played with
I long to be your Woody
But please don’t get it twisted
I don’t want you to toy with me
Because this is not a story
This is a truth that must be told
I’m longing to be played with
like a new toy on Christmas
Never to be put down
I’m longing to played with
Like a game system
Held like the controller
Eyes locked on the screen
I’m longing to be played with
I just want to be seen
I’m longing to be played with
Like a Casino slot machine
Heart filled with hope
Why won’t you take a chance on me?
I’m longing to be played with
Like a game of Scrabble
Use your brain when it comes to me
Making triple scores don’t come easily
Can you please play with me?
In the way that makes me feel loved
Can you please play with me?
I just want to feel your touch
Can you please play with me?
Show me that you care
I’m longing to be played with
But I will no longer plead my case
I know my worth and
I know what I deserve
I’m longing to be played with
But it seems like you no longer want to play
Maybe you never leveled up like this before
I’m longing to be played with
But if that’s too hard for you to do
Then this game is over
-Sincerely, A Woman Longing to be Played With
