Don't think that I have spent my life alone, because that is not true. I have filled my lungs with the air of the most beautiful people and yet I have never once felt wanted.
You, on the other hand, made me feel something much different. You gave me hope, made me want more than I've ever wanted someone else before.
I could never get enough of your voice, not because I liked the words you were saying, but because you were speaking them to me. But what is the point in finding your happy place if you're not allowed to live there?
I didn't fall for you, I jumped head first into arms that weren't prepared to catch me, and drove myself crazy trying to hate you for breaking a promise you never even made.
Still, you are the most I've ever had to lose.
Please don't leave me.

It is hardly debatable that the world has always been run by a bunch of aging dinosaurs, mostly male, who refuse to allow the younger generation to bring about changes. Politicians and leaders everywhere refuse to release the reigns of creativity and leadership until they are dead or dying. It is time to give the young a chance to revolutionize and change the entire landscape of their existence. Those of us with one foot in the grave, so to speak, should wake up and realize that we are not the ones who will be living in the world in the years to come.

It Only Took One Minute.......
It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk. Sick and tired of the lies he was spewing, I was up running down the hall, ready to kill him. By the time I reached him, I had calmed enough not to hurt him, but as I turned back towards my room, I knew that I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The decision was clear. I had to leave.
