A Rainy Encounter

Self Discovery Moments, the Fourth

I stand firm, no minding my surrounding

Till this beauty unwittingly draws my attention

She has a perfect height and perfect stature

Has a dimple when she spreads her mouth to smile

Her hair, blonde, like the finest gold ever dug up

Her skin glowing in this darkest of night

It's cold, she shivers, I sense it

I say 'ciao,' need a jacket?

Without waiting for response, I give her mine

She looks surprised but I am not paying attention

Okay, maybe I was, but in my mind though

She is better now, while I stand, half frozen

We talk, and talk, and talk, there goes my bus

Not bothered how to get home

We walk and walk, there goes her door step

Have we known each other in the past life?

The flow was too good to be true

My words became perfect pitched

I communicated in this new language like I was a native speaker

This was a confidence booster for me

At last we stood at one point

Gazing, staring awkwardly, silence people!!

I am planning my next move here!!

Instagram, check, Facebook, check

WhatsApp? earn it! She said

Wow. did this just happen? I whisper

She kisses me a cheek-peck and says thanks

I say bye, take my jacket back and off I go

Hunger knocks but I refused to open the door

I walk and can't stop thinking and wondering

What just transpired between a mortal and an angel

But all in all, hunger breaks the door

Smiles at me and beats my growling stomach

Cupid, Cupid, Cupid, three times doth I call thee

This arrow would be the last, maybe not

But right now, the barricade is off

Am scared of something which I need to rid me of

My heart is closed till further notice

No key can open this lock except a kiss
