A Quill's Ink

You are the calm to my storm,

That's harvesting love reserved solely for the winds which howl your name

You are the rarest element of freedom,

While in essence,

my heart feels a familiar sense of affinity to you

There's where you remain an immutable treasure,

Perfectly concealed in my chamber of best kept secrets,

filled with vivid images of our artless past

And while our souls travel every night,I believe mine always knows where to find you

In the realm where you become forever mine,

Even if for a moment in heaven's time

When the world is dormant and angels descend,

And time imitates the game of my restless mind,

While the heart yearns for a voice

to speak of a story every quill longs to spill ink for

So in times of turmoil, let me be your serenity beloved

Allow me to be the inception of your decrepit mind,

Unfolding all your less contented layers in my hands,

The strength I imbibe from you,will suffice to carry even your burdens with you

the river that rages from beneath my veins,
