A Poem for Lovers

Lucky

We have become two masterpieces

Lucky enough to collect dust

In the same museum.

Hung next to each other

Until we are bubble wrapped,

Sent off to our unmarked graves

Locked in a storage facility

collecting dust.

Our bodies may wither,

Our names and faces forgotten -

But for all the time on Earth

We will lie together,

Forging a path into eternity

Where eventually our remains

Will drift into the same stars the Big Bang

Erupted for.

I am warm thinking of the day

I wake up next to you

As nothing but dust -

Watching and waiting for a new existence

Beside you,

Created one atom at a time.

I've loved writing stories and poetry since fourth grade. If you like it, that's awesome. Tell me and it'll make my whole week. If not that's cool, me neither sometimes.
