A Place of Great Depth
I feel our final breath...
I feel our final breath
Like the last sigh of the wind
This, a place of great depth
collecting each other's shattered hearts to mend
In all aspects we piece each other together
With a needle through each shard but however.
It stains our hands just to show us our true nature
In this, a place of great depth colder than a glacier.
I bend and twist, poke and bore
until my grip almost can't handle any more
You push and polish, stitch and glue
As you notice things that others never knew.
I felt our last breath
as we glide upon this, the final sigh of the wind
No more need for as we beget
With these hearts now pieced together they will never shatter again.
Thank you for rescuing me from my place of great depth.
This, the only thing I can think of to say in retrospect.
For you, this thing called time I shall never neglect.
Allowing dreams to take us away while our love heals the pieces time had us forget.
