A Place in Time

Poem

The rain fell down the window she watched it day by day

never really looking to wash the pain away

She never really wanted to lose the memories

the ones that kept her up at night and pulled on her heart strings

The pain she felt inside her it made her feel alive

she never really thought about how deep it was inside

To let go of the memories would surely ease her mind

but how she felt about him has kept her locked in time

At night she looks beside her and sees an empty space

A place in time a memory that no one can replace

For one day she will move along in time and memory

until that day her heart will hurt for what it could not be

About the Creator

Jennifer Zabala

I find that my best poems are ones I write in regards to my brother who passed away when I was 15. These poems have been a way for me to express my thoughts through words.
