A Pencil Snaps When It Is at Its Sharpest

Don't snap pencils.

If I gave you a pencil and told you to break it

would you?

Say you took this pencil and snapped it in half.

You would feel bad for breaking a perfectly good pencil.

You apologise to the pencil.

An apology doesn’t fix a broken pencil.

The pencil stays broken.

Kisses don’t heal a broken arm.

Love doesn’t mend a sorry soul.

Words don’t bandage a broken heart

And apologies don’t right a wrong.

Nothing is ever mended by an apology, especially not a pencil.
