A Path Laid

the path has been lit

do i continue towards it?

or ignore it

indecisiveness

has me caught in a vice grip

detour

i was hoping to see more

but led me to another door

i didnt quite explore

thrown off course

stuck in the middle

but im weighing my options

something suitable

as usual

or act without thinking it through

thoroughly

or find myself

getting buried

overwhelming grief

undeserving

but we learn from the trials

and tribulations

many complex

and difficult situations

now maintaining

fixated on a landscape

serene

rather than the usual scene

but it will have to suffice

limited air to breathe

many paths ive encountered

my shoes are in shreds

might need an upholstery

but ive got no threads

for repair

and im aware

of my imperfections

not a facade like elections

some choose to partake

i administer

like a vaccine

to an infection

in circumference

watching immune systems plummet

from misdirection

on my summit

pinnacle perception

and some of them love it

or despise

why am i not surprised?

but still ill thrive

when alive

or im gasping my last breathe

clutching my chest

seeing my life flash before my very eyes
