A Mask of Anger
“Oh you don’t want to talk to her, she looks like a bitch.”
A girl
A silent monster
Her eyes are hard,
Icy walls
But they are merely dams to the tears.
Her growl
Is only to hide her trembling,
Scared voice.
Her folded arms
They are not signs of anger
Or even superiority.
She is trying to collapse in on herself,
And cease to waste space.
After all,
Why would she wish to exist in a world
Where lashing out is more acceptable
Than vulnerability.
