A Man Out of Time

A Poem by Baphomet0

it seems I’m a man, out of time,

in my thinking, and my style,

learned to endure it, with a smile,

following courting rules of old,

trying to invite you, into my fold,

together we can forge a life of gold,

yet all I see is betrayal, and debauchery,

yes I understand, your right to be free,

but do you need, such a high spree,

good enough, when the world bores you

regardless of telling you, I adore you

apparently not among, the chosen few,

all I ask, is to spend some time,

is that such a heinous crime

excuses have no reason nor rhyme,

I see you found yourself a mate,

turns out he’s filled with hate,

leaves you in an awful state,

now I accept my fate,

no longer a despairing wait,

into the divine light and dark I wade,
