A Love Poem by FortniteLover

Eloquent and confounding - New York Thyme

This is a poem I wrote for my girlfriend, inspired by Fortnite. Though sometimes I do wonder if I had subconsciously written it for Fortnite all along. Anyway. I hope you enjoy.

A Love Poem by FortniteLover

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Gratification is sensual,

And so are you.

Orchids are white,

Ghost ones are rare,

Mirrors are shiny,

And so is your hair.

Magnolia grows,

With buds like eggs,

Water is smooth,

And so are your legs.

Sunflowers reach,

Up to the skies,

A sunlight is dazzling,

And so are your eyes.

Foxgloves in hedges,

Surround the farms,

Leaves are hairy,

And so are your arms.

Daisies are pretty,

Daffies have style,

A coalition is winning,

And so is your smile.

A Fortnite is beautiful,

Just like you.

Comments by critics:

"I'm sure I've read something a bit like this before. I just can't work out where..."

- The Daily Tale

"This is too beautiful for words. 'Sensual like gratification' - that's literary tin. I hope the person this poem is about feels as special as I would. I'm welling up here!"

- Hit the Spoof

"How can arms be like leaves? What utter twaddle! As for shortening 'daffodils' to 'daffies' - who would do such a thing?"

- Enid Kibbler

"An interesting twist on the old 'Roses are red' theme. The use of 'emotes', 'gunfire' and 'smooth' makes this original in ways neither Shakepeare, Burns nor Victor Hugo could master."

- Zob Gloop
