You are her mother.

Why did you not warn her,

Hold her like a rotting boat

And tell her that men will not love her?

You should have told her she was difficult

She talks too much

She believes in staying home to watch anime and eat pizza

Men will not love her.

You should have told her

She has to comb her hair

Be ten sizes smaller

Smile when she is not feeling like it

Stroke his ego, or

Men will not love her

Your daughter is ugly

The world on her shoulder

She doesn't wear the world well

You should have told her

Men will not love her

A ghost poem inspired by "Ugly" by Warsan Shire.
