A Life's a Flame

A Poem

I shut my eyes and I fade away,

There is just way too much to do today.

Help my sons, my husband, and myself,

To put everything back where it goes on the shelf.

I, oh I want to fly like in the Bible's end,

I must be nice and act so as a friend.

I am so used to being very bored,

So many things I have adored.

But today I am feeling ambivious,

Nobody sees what I am intending?

Doesn't anyone see that it is obvious?

They say "yeah" they are just pretending.

Only those who really listen openly,

Will find their seekings of mine quite heavenly.

I need a friend to listen to me,

To my quiet heart and set me free.

With the keys in my quick words,

Which is a bit different than all of the swords.

My tongue burns a bit of flame,

I know it is not a game!

I try to be careful if it is a bit lame.

So what? Who doesn't care?

I will rip out that little hair!

If you pick on me than you dare.

You dare to light big fires,

I have strength in my desires!

See it in my eyes,

Ice is my surprise!
