Go where your feet take you!!

Wind on the Hill

A.A. Milne

No one can tell me,

Nobody knows,

Where the wind comes from,

Where the wind goes.

It's flying from somewhere

As fast as it can,

I couldn't keep up with it,

Not if I ran.

But if I stopped holding

The string of my kite,

It would blow with the wind

For a day and a night.

And then when I found it,

Wherever it blew,

I should know that the wind

Had been going there too.

So then I could tell them

Where the wind goes...

But where the wind comes from

Nobody knows.

Where will the wind take me?

So you think you can write...

I want to be a writer.

I want to be a fantastic storyteller.

How many times have I heard this in my head?

How many times have I started?

If only you knew how many times a story had started in my head, and died there as well. Almost as many times as I have lost my glasses, resting quietly atop my head.

Write about what you are passionate about they say, who are they anyway, and how do they know? What am I passionate about? My kids, my dogs, traveling, hiking.

Where should I start? Do I start with my kids? I, of course, think they are amazing, but as a parent, don't we all?

I could regale you with the many antics of my dogs, that could be a book all on its own. We live in a house with four terriers, all under twenty pounds? They kindly allow us to stay. Are you familiar with the "terrierist" breed? Are you a dog person? Would my tales of terror impress you? Make you laugh? Question my sanity?

What about traveling? Would you like to hear about the places I have been, the people I have seen? Do you travel? Are you interested in traveling? Would you care to hear about my adventures?

Perhaps you would enjoy hearing about the places I have hiked? Do you want to hear the trials and tribulations of a chubby middle aged woman who thought it would be fun to take up hiking?

I question everything. I want to share, but am I good enough?

The time has come to find out!

I am about to start a journey, it may be a slow journey, but it will be MY journey, and I would love for you to join me!!
