A Hero's Call

A Short Prose About a Battle Fought and Won

The hero pauses in an eternal moment, waiting for another chance.

As the hours flow by and the quest strives on, time is but a memory.

Will the hero succeed and win the day or struggle on the relentless battle.

A road home awaits the call, a family beckons for their man back home.

The maiden's tear falls once more an unanswered wish for her man back home.

A daily struggle without protection, a helping hand or a tender caress.

How will she manage without her heart's desire and the father of her children.

What can she do to bring him back to draw him from his determined path.

At last he returns albeit for a short time only, a break to rest and recoup.

An alternative plan required to change this recurring event; a forceful stop.

At last the plan is forged to win back man to wife and doting family.

A confrontation fought a decision done, the plug is pulled and Xbox gone.
