Her voice carries through the wind to my ears
And I stop in place to listen
Her beautiful melody astounds me
It's refreshing to my hardened soul
She sings of pain
She sings of love
She sings to prove she's strong
She sings to prove a hidden point
She's been to places unknown
She's been through things that people would wince at the thought of
Still she keeps a smile on her face
And sings her heart out
She's the one people judge
She's the one people seem to be jealous of
She never believes when people call her beautiful
Instead she denies it and turns away from every mirror that strays in the way
She helps others but never herself
And pushes herself to stay strong
She pours her heart into everything she does
And still thinks it's not enough
She's a phantom beauty
A mutiny to those she passes on the street
She's a delicate flower
She's the one hidden behind the closed door
Behind the makeup and baggy clothes
She's the one unknown
